The Pit Rim Walkway
The Pit Rim Walkway encompasses the entire open pit. There are several lookouts that provide great views of the open pit. Interpretation boards explain points of interest. There are also buildings and foundations from early mining days. The circuit is easy walking, pushchair friendly and takes approximately one hour to complete.
The viewing platform at the western side of the open pit can be found at the intersection of Moresby Avenue and Savage Road, right next to the Education Centre. The most popular viewing areas are adjacent to the Cornish Pumphouse, at the top of Seddon Street
